Jana Hricová a Ondřej Šilt were the second at the European Pair Go Championship in Poland in Krakow. The Czech players reached to the medal places after four years and proved, that they belong to the strongest European pair go players. Moreover, they reserved themselves a ticket to the World Mind Sports Games in Beijing.
Jan Šimara now needs only 9 points to reach 5 dan. The last time that he proved his great form was the tournament in Plzeň where he won without any problems 5:0. That is his second victory in a Grand Prix tournament.
The second was Jan Prokop, who lost only with Jan Šimara. The third was Petr Cipra, who had 3 points, the same as Tomáš Grosser. The best player with two points was the fifth Alfred Effenberg from Austria.
The list of players for this year's republic championship is getting fuller. Next players for it were decided in Frýdek-Místek, where the second of three qualification tournaments fo the championship took place. The championship will be also the qualification for the World Mind Sports Games in Beijing.
