Ondřej Šilt again won the Championship

On the 2nd -6th July 2009 the Championship in a board game go took place in Libčice nad Vltavou. Ondřej Šilt won the champion title for the fourth time, playing for TJ Slovan Carlsbad. He followed the last year's victory. The second was Ondřej Kruml from Brno, who like the winner won 8 out of 9 games and the order between the two players decided the outcome of the game.
The third was Jan Prokop from Říčany. Former three champions of the Republic were left behind and for the first time none of the previous generation of players who dominated our tournaments in the last decade and at the beginning of this millennium did not get to the podium.

There were held other two tournaments during the Championship. In the handicap tournament for the prize of Liběhrad Kateřina Babická from Ustí nad Labem won. In the weekend tournament for the Cup of Libčice mayor Tomáš Kozelek from Prague won the main prize. The organizers prepared a rich program including for example the petanque tournament, go marathon For the chocolate pagoda, a football match with local chess players and the concert of a group Znouzectnost.
