Csaba Mero won Prague tournament

Csaba Mero, 6. dan (HU) Autumn Prague tournament, which is a part of board games festival Deskohraní, has a winner from abroad this year. Csaba Mero, 6 dan and nowadays Hungarian number two did not let our players defeat him and won with full points. Points for qualification for the Championship of the republic were given at the following places. All points has Vladimír Daněk, who was the second. The third was Ondřej Šilt, the current master, who does not have to worry about the points for qualification. The others were in following other: Jan Prokop, Zbyněk Dach and Radek Nechanický.

The games in the top group brought two surprises. One big and not pleasant was performance of Jan Šimara who ended with only two points at the 13th place. The pleasant one were results of a junior Lukáš Podpěra, who ended in the first ten by defeating paper stronger players and so gained qualification points for the next Championship.

Together 87 players took part, which is the biggest number in last few years.
