Jana Hricová a Ondřej Šilt were the second at the European Pair Go Championship in Poland in Krakow. The Czech players reached to the medal places after four years and proved, that they belong to the strongest European pair go players. Moreover, they reserved themselves a ticket to the World Mind Sports Games in Beijing.
Also other two Czech pairs played very well. Jitka Bártová and Jan Hora were the fifth, Klára Žaloudková and Zbyněk Dach were the seventh. All our three pairs had four wins out of six. It must be said, that Klára Žaloudková and Zbyněk Dach almost forbid Jana Hricová and Ondřej Šilt to gain the silver medal, because they defeated them in the last round. Fortunately, the other criteria helped our representatives.
The European Masters became Natalia Kovaleva and Dmitrij Surin from Russian, who kept their last years title (Kovaleva even the second time in a line). The third was a pair from Ukraine - Marija Zacharčenková and Jurij Pljušč.
