Czech Go Association

Czech go association is the main organization that associates players and friends of go in Czech Republic. It was established in 1991. Its main aims and missions are to promote go, especially among young people, to support players representing Czech Republic, to help to organize tournaments and to represent Czech go player’s community in dealing with other institutions and organizations both in Czech Republic and abroad.

Czech Go Association was accepted as an associated member of Czech Sports Association from 1993. It is also member of European Go Federation and International Go Federation.

Czech Go Association pursues many activities: organizes or helps to organize go tournaments, including big international events like European Go Congress, European or World Championships, organizes training camps for strong players, issues own periodical journal, runs a library with large amount of special go literature etc.
